Final Concert – Tribute to Janusz Muniak

The final concert of 23. Summer Jazz Festival Kraków is dedicated to memory of saxophonist Janusz Muniak.

On the evening of August, 4 we will listen to:

Karen Edwards Trio
American jazz and gospel singer successfully worked with many worldwide known artists like: Stevie Wonder, Peabo Bryson and Tonny Bennett and Prince. She performed in New York and Los Angeles in clubs and music theaters. Her concerts are not only fantastic music adventures, but also outstanding show. For several years she works with Jarek Śmietana and his trio, and with this combination she had many concerts in all Europe.

Orchestra Dedicated – Groborz & Cronies
Six young, open–minded lads lead by well seasoned, distinguished colonel, who loves to reinvent the wheel, makin’ every new turn astonishingly fresh​.

special guest: Frank Parker
Drummer, composer born in USA. He performed on two recordings with the top university jazz ensemble, the Grammy nominated Jazz At The Crossroads (1992) and The Third Degree (1994). In 1999, Frank joined the Kurt Elling Quartet and performed concerts internationally. He recorded the Grammy nominated cd, Man In the Air with the Kurt Elling Quartet. Frank is a music educator teaching drums, percussion, and music business courses to students worldwide.
